2006 - 2009
From the African influence I kept the warm sensuality of the elements and allied them with more graphical work. The painting mesh with citations borrowed from art history in a game more abstract confronting surfaces both textured and smooth, matter and drawing, collages and painting.
The Circinatio series created with and derived from calligraphies from Antoine Van Loocke is on the other hand a work essentially abstract born from our joint reflections on a theme of the circle evoked in our land art project.
